Day 30 to 33: To Germany, say go………………………….

Day 30, 31:
For this week, we focused on working hard and providing some output to our guides for the work we were assigned to do.  I finally prepared a rough report on the paper I needed to review. Submitted to my guide and  got in touch with him to get some input on the review I wrote. To be true it wasn’t good at all, had to go though many things again. Anyway for these 3 days that’s all we did, after that as you can guess, we already had plans. Germany was our next destination for this weekend. The idea was to cover – Munich, Berlin and Hamburg, 3 cities in 3 days.  Though we were not sure about the final schedule, as we were going to ditch Friday, so we had to be back by Monday morning else  might sound some trouble as we already missed 4-5 weekdays.  Let’s hope everything turnout to be okay, we had the train reservation  while going from here to Munich, and on  while coming back from Hamburg to Copenhagen.

Day 32:
We were scheduled to leave at 5:10pm, on Thursday from Hoje taastrup, a local train stop far from city center. It takes about 35 mins to reach there from university.  This time we were one more in number. Mr. D, another batch mate from college, was there in ITU Copenhagen for his intern, he reached there 1 month month after we did. So this time we were 6 people – me, Mr. L, Mr. S, Mr. A Junior , and Mr. R (a banker working in Copenhagen) and Mr. D. All of us were there by 4:55pm, though train was late by few minutes, we bought some food and milk for the travel, as we were directly coming from university. As soon as the train came, we boarded it and all set to go.We chose the same method for TP (time pass), playing cards as usual. Most of the time, during our journeys, that’s the only source of entertainment available to us. So long is this journey folks, see you in Munich next day........

Day 33: Munich and Fussan, The Fairy Tale Castle……………

We reached Munich around 9am, so the plan was fist to visit the fairy tale castle which is about 30 mins by train from Munich. From station as Mr. L told us, but we got shocked when we asked for the same and to our shock the information center guy told us that the castle is in Fussan, about 2 hours train journey from here and than 30 minutes from Fussan station to Castle. All the planning was now completely tangled up. What to do now, we needed 5 + 3 hours to visit the fairy tale castle and come back in Munich in time to visit few places and catch the evening train for Berlin. But we can’t miss the castle, so we decided that we will first go to see the castle than think of something else.

We straight away left for Fussan, we reached there by 12:10pm at Fussan station, and then went directly to castle via bus, the scene that flashed though our eyes when we came out of the bus was truly out of the world. The name “Fairy Tale Castle”, it’s the perfect name for it. I am sure anyone who has seen it will agree with me. It is situated on a hill may be 300 feet above the ground level, there are two modes of transport to go up -on foot or bus/horse bullock, as you can think of we obviously went on foot. Standing just below the Swiss alps, the snow covered peaks visible from everywhere in the castle, the view is truly mesmerizing. Who ever thought and designed this castle, I believe was one of the best at that time that's for sure. As usual we clicked pics, watched the place for a while, went around did some goofy talks and then it was the time to leave. There was one more castle there to see but due to lack to time we didn't go there, we left Fussan at around 3:30pm, we reached back  Munich at around, 6:10pm, and had to pick the train scheduled at 6:35pm for Berlin.
